My Latest Shopping Trip....
Good Morning! I thought I would share my most recent trip to Ulta with you! For me, Ulta is a place where you go in to get ONE thing and come out with ten. Ulta falls along the same category as Target, CVS, Sephora, etc... You literally cannot stop yourself from buying multiple things you "need". Thatbeing said, since this happens on the reg, I wanted to share some essentials I always find myself buying along with a few new products I wanted to try! I didn't buy any fancy makeup this go-round (sorry!) I am trying to be a liiiitle better ;) See below for everything I purchased/ review of some things I've tried...
Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil | Essie Polish in "Altitude Attitude"
I always find myself picking up nail polish of some sort when I am at Ulta- I've been using THIS cuticle oil and it is a dream! (and smells delish too)
Physicians Formula "Shimmer Strips" | IT Cosmetics Mascara | Maybelline Concealer | Real Techniques Brush
I have been liking the 'dewy highlight' look lately when doing my makeup, I have some highlighters that have an opaque/pink tone, but I've been searching for something more bronzy. I picked up THIS bronzer the other day and it's okay... I've been using it a lot yes, but I have been mixing it a bit with my other bronzer as well because it is not as pigmented as I would have liked. I have been loving THIS concealer especially when blended in with THIS brush- this duo has been working wonders. Lastly, I am actually OBSESSED with THIS mascara! I have found that most drugstore mascaras can do the job pretty darn well, especially when layered (lengthening mascara and a fuller mascara) however..... THIS mascara from IT cosmetics is sent straight down from Heaven- I'm not exaggerating. It is 100% worth the money. It lengthens your lashes while also making them really full and thick without clumping- even after multiple coats it does not clump! I have been using a sample version of this mascara for almost 2 months now so I can only imagine how long the full sized tube will last.
Skin Iceland Eye Gels | Eucerin Lotion
I've been hearing about these eye gels from Skyn Iceland lately so I thought I would give them a try. They did not disappoint. I left them on a little longer than the package said and my under eye area was so smooth, tight and I looked alive! When applied, they have a cool and refreshing feeling against your under eye area- so relaxing! I also picked up a travel size of THIS lotion just to try it out and it has been working! Some of you probably saw my snap last week asking for suggestions for my dry skin- literally nothing was working! I tried THIS lotion and all of my flakey skin is gone! (thank goodness!) I will definitely be continuing to use this. I know, not necessarily a glamorous or "it" product, but hey it has been working for me so I thought I would share if you've been having the same issues :)
Every time I walk into Ulta, I always walk out with a can (or two) of this dry shampoo. It smells good, doesn't have a "wet" or "heavy" texture and even comes in tinted colors so you're not left with white hair #beentheredonethat
A few of my fave dry shampoo tricks:
1. Spray dry shampoo in slightly damp hair and finish blow drying- you will get lots of body and your hair will have a little texture for styling.
2. If you aren't washing your hair the night before and think it might feel a little dirty in the morning, spray dry shampoo at the roots of your hair and twist into a bun before you go to bed. The shampoo will sink into your hair while you sleep leaving you with clean, bouncy hair in the morning.
3. Always keep a mini version or a full version in your work bag- you never know when you'll be invited to last minute happy hour and a few sprays will revive your hair and give it some body!
Thanks for stopping by today, friends!
